About the role
Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Hospital Response in Okeechobee, FL, to serve and safeguard clients in healthcare and other industries. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related needs with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, parking areas, corridors, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with directions and maintaining awareness of restricted areas in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
Requirements
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to restrain individuals as required.
- Have at least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $18.03 / Hour
Schedule: Friday 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM, Saturday 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM, Sunday 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM
