About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access-control procedures, and the reporting of security-related concerns.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be willing to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to restrain individuals.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$18.54 / hour
Schedule
- Wednesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
- Thursday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
