About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, badge verification, and direction-giving in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
Requirements
- Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to restrain individuals.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
