Security Officer - High-Rise Building Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer - High-Rise Building Patrol, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to tenants and visitors. You will communicate clearly, report observations, and support a welcoming environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial office location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or facility concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and building conditions in accordance with site procedures, reporting access-control issues and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication protocols.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation while providing a professional, customer-focused presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
