About the role
The Blue Days Security Officer role at Wolfspeed involves protecting people, property, and information across various locations. This role is part of Wolfspeed's Global Protection Department and requires a flexible schedule to support 24/7 operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform patrols of campus, parking lots, and manufacturing areas on foot and/or with a vehicle
- Document activities and submit written reports after routine patrols, alarms, or other requests for assistance
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including customers, visitors, and vendors
- Fulfill requests for assistance from different business departments and contractors, such as security escorts, traffic safety/direction details, special events support, and human resources support
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years of full-time work experience
- Excellent character, integrity, customer service, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible schedule as needed to support critical issues in a 24x7 environment
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Reliable transportation and a valid state-issued driver’s license
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, and walk for long periods, climb stairs, walk up inclines, and on uneven terrain
- Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Ability to run short distances in the event of an emergency
- Willingness to provide life-saving techniques based on personal training level until relieved by more qualified personnel
- Completion of all required Wolfspeed training for the position of Security Officer

- Experience in a similar security role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility to work irregular hours
- Basic computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite
- Physical fitness to perform patrol duties
