Security Officer

About the role

Sedgebrook is seeking a hospitality-focused Security Officer to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, staff, and community property.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled internal and external patrols to maintain a secure environment for residents and community property.
• Conduct continuous patrols of property and facilities.
• Respond promptly to fire alarms and emergency calls.
• Complete daily rounds and incident reports.
• Document incidents including accidents, theft, fires, serious mechanical malfunctions, emergency responses, and violations of rules and regulations.
• Supports gatehouse operations as needed, including logging visitors, residents, and employees.
• Maintain a professional and calm presence during all situations.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• One to three years of customer service experience.
• Previous security experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and perform basic arithmetic.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Pay

$18.00 per hour + shift differential, benefits, and perks.

Schedule

Full-time 2nd Shift (2:45 PM - 10:45 PM). Full-time: 37.5 hours/week.
