Security Officer

Job Summary

As our Security Officer, you will monitor buildings and grounds to ensure the safety and security of employees, patients, and visitors. Your responsibilities include:

• Monitor the property by walking and driving around the premises.
• Guard facility and unit access points.
• Monitor surveillance cameras.
• Test new security technology.
• Protect employees/visitors from acts of violence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls for assistance in a timely and prudent manner.
• Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle.
• Dispatch officers promptly to locations where needed.
• Report unsafe acts or conditions.
• Ensure all activities are logged.
• Complete incident reports accurately and submit them in a timely manner.
• Use appropriate emergency and radio codes in dispatching security officers.
• Ensure dispatches are to the correct location.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent, upon hire.
• Driver's License: IA, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days.
• Six (6) months experience as security officer in a healthcare setting, or Law enforcement or military service, or One (1) year experience as a security officer.
