Security Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Security Officer who will contribute to our mission of prioritizing your well-being so you can provide exceptional care to others. This role involves proactive monitoring, timely responses to security threats, and managing incidents and hazards.

Responsibilities

• Performs proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.
• Investigates and manages all security incidents and hazards on the premises.
• Maintains knowledge of and follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans.
• Facilitates planned drills and simulations.
• Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote their safety on the premises.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required. Associates Degree preferred.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Variable schedule, 12 hour shifts.
• Must be complete Handle With Care training within 3 months of hire.
