About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Property Patrol in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior areas, parking locations, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access activity and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery processes in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations as required.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and support a professional environment for all occupants and visitors.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred skills

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour. Schedule: Day Time, Monday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Tuesday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Wednesday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Saturday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Sunday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM.
