Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Property Patrol

About the Role

As a Full Time Unarmed Property Patrol Security Officer in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, clear communication, and responding to security-related concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and vehicle activity, and assist with maintaining orderly conditions throughout the location.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain documentation of incidents, patrols, and unusual activities in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.75 per hour.
