Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Presence

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in University Park, IL, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying designated contacts as required.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$19.75 / hour

• Monday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tuesday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
