Security Officer Full Time - Unarmed

About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail distribution center in Savannah, GA, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while helping maintain a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution center, including warehouse areas, parking areas, loading docks, entry points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and help maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery-driver entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and other security-related concerns through a professional presence, observation, and timely reporting.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Pay

$16.26 / hour

Schedule

• Tuesday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Wednesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thursday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Saturday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
