About the role
As a Security Officer Full Time - Unarmed in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly with employees and visitors while responding to security-related concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, access points, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor and contractor access in accordance with site procedures, and maintain required logs and documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency services as directed.
- Help support orderly operations by reporting hazards, equipment concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate site representative.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience.
- At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
