About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Technology in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge procedures. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet systems as needed.

Schedule

Full Time. Day time shifts: Monday 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM, Tuesday 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM, Wednesday 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM, Thursday 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM.

What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial office property.
  • Monitor building access points, visitor activity, and common areas, reporting unusual conditions and access concerns according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
