About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology location in Santa Clara, CA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors while responding to security-related needs with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and reporting unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery authorization in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
- Document patrols, incidents, access concerns, and other security-related activities accurately in required reports and logs.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- Guard card/license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Pay
$29.30 / hour

- Tuesday: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
- Friday: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
