Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Site Awareness

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location in Charlotte, NC, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and contractor entry as directed, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete required daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining professional communication with tenants, visitors, and staff.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
