About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location in Wilmington, CA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support site operations through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and escalation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, process areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
