About the role
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Route Monitor in Charlotte, NC at Amazon Warehouse, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly with employees and visitors, report security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor activity, and following established entry and exit procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
