Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Operations

About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and patients. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a healthcare and pharmaceutical manufacturing location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor and contractor entry in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
