Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Operations

About the role

As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional at an educational government location in Ashburn, VA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will support a welcoming environment through clear communication, observation, and timely reporting of security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school and site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or policy violations, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate school personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer service experience.
• CPR certification.
• A guard card or license.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Pay

$18.87 / hour

Schedule

• Daytime, Monday through Friday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
