Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Operations

About the role
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Florence, NJ, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while documenting security-related activity and responding professionally to concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading zones, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry, and assist with visitor and contractor screening in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence in a fast-paced technology environment.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- A guard card or applicable license is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience are preferred.

$18.74 / hour

- Friday: 05:15 AM - 01:15 PM
- Saturday: 05:15 AM - 01:15 PM
- Sunday: 05:15 AM - 01:15 PM
