About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Care in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to site needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology and media location
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior spaces, exterior areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations, incidents, and service needs

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred
• A guard card or license is preferred
• Customer service experience is preferred
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred

Schedule

Full Time. Daytime shifts: Monday through Thursday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM.

Pay

$23.11 per hour.
