Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Communications

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location in Chicago, IL. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, common areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, documenting incidents, patrol findings, and policy violations in accordance with site requirements.
• Communicate professionally with building management, tenants, visitors, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming environment.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$19.75 / hour

• Tuesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wednesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Saturday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sunday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
