About the role
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Communications in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Education. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors through professional communication and customer service. You will report security-related concerns and contribute to a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious behavior or conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, student-related disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to school administrators, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
