About the role
As a Security Officer Full Time in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an education setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for unusual conditions, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and/or access-control issues, and report observations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with site requirements.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
