Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol College Degree

About the role

As a Full Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and stakeholders while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of financial institution facilities, including interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports, incident documentation, and shift activity logs accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
