Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Courtesy Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic educational campus environment in Stanford, CA. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist students, staff, and visitors, and communicate clearly with campus partners. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and support access-control procedures for academic, residential, administrative, and event locations.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observed conditions, incidents, and maintenance-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
