• Daytime: Monday 09:30 AM - 05:00 PM, Wednesday 09:30 AM - 05:00 PM, Thursday 09:30 AM - 05:00 PM, Friday 09:30 AM - 05:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout museum galleries, educational spaces, public areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general information, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, and communicate observations with Allied Universal leadership and location representatives.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
