Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location, including loading areas, trailer yards, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
- Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, observing vehicle and pedestrian activity, and reporting unusual conditions according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events as required.
- Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and property damage through a visible patrol presence and timely reporting of security-related concerns.
Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
