Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a residential location in Atlantic City, NJ, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, communicate professionally with residents and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout residential common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, resident, and vendor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, unusual activities, and/or maintenance concerns and communicate relevant information to site contacts.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
