About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Bicycle Route Coverage in West Hollywood, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment through professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while representing a company that is agile, reliable, innovative, and people-focused.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, residents, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned municipal facilities, public areas, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures; provide directions and assistance as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, public disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken.

Requirements

• Be able to ride a bike.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
