About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer in a residential community, you will conduct highly visible patrols by bicycle, monitor assigned areas, report security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service to residents and visitors. This position requires a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
- Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and vendor entry in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and visitor records.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
- Help deter unauthorized access, trespassing, and property-related concerns through a visible presence, professional communication, and timely reporting of observations.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy.
- Must be able to ride a bike; ability to ride for long periods preferred.
- State, county, or city-issued security-related license preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to background investigation, drug screen, and compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Pay
$20.00 per hour.
