Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Bicycle Patrol Operations

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas by bicycle, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will ride for extended periods, conduct routine checks, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and provide exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, residents, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned public areas, buildings, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within assigned areas, and assist with directing visitors in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions accurately and promptly in required reports and logs.

Requirements

• Ability to ride a bike is required.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
