About the role
Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government aviation location in Columbus, OH. Conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to concerns. You will support travelers, employees, and visitors through exceptional service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, agile team known for reliability, innovation, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and government personnel while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at an airport location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, public areas, parking facilities, roadways, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity and/or potential hazards.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with location protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency personnel and/or airport authorities when appropriate.
- Document patrol activity, observations, and incidents through clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervisors and designated location contacts.
Requirements
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Friday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
