Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Full Time in Cary, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors through outstanding customer service and communication.

What You'll Do

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a public education location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, observe visitor and staff activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
Support daily operations at the location by assisting with directions, answering questions, and following post orders related to school hours, after-hours activity, and special events.

Minimum Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
Have customer service experience preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
