Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a leading educational location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, grounds, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe campus activity, and communicate with site contacts, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related incidents, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Support campus operations during classes, events, and/or after-hours activity by maintaining a visible presence and providing guidance consistent with location procedures.

Requirements

• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
