Security Officer Full Time Patrol Communications

About the role

As a Full Time Patrol Communications Security Officer in Overland Park, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, report security-related concerns, provide exceptional customer service, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and data center personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the technology facility, including building interiors, exterior areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries.
• Monitor access activity and report unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, equipment concerns, and other security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and access-related logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
