Security Officer Full Time Mobile Patrol Driver

About the role
As a Full Time Mobile Patrol Driver in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and promptly communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate incident, patrol, and shift documentation.
- Support a professional environment by providing directions, reporting maintenance or access-control concerns, and escalating unusual activity through appropriate channels.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
