Security Officer Full Time Entry Operations

About the role

As an Armed Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location in Richardson, TX, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership, documenting incidents, observations, and required follow-up actions.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• State, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$18.00 / hour
