About the role
As a Security Officer Full Time Driving Patrol in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an educational location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while following post orders and reporting protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and authorized access points, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contact.
- Support daily operations at the location by documenting incidents, providing directions and assistance, and communicating clearly with site contacts, staff, and/or first responders as needed.
Requirements
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Skills
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to respond calmly and professionally to incidents and disturbances.
- Knowledge of site-specific policies and emergency response procedures.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
