About the role

As a Front Desk Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence for visitors and employees. You will manage access, monitor entry activity, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a front desk location within a technology, media, and telecommunications environment by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor and access-related records.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, alarms, cameras, and/or other assigned systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity or concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and following established escalation procedures.
• Answer phones, provide directions and general site information, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, vendors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
