Security Officer (Full-Time)

About the role

Join Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel as a Loss Prevention/Security Officer and play an integral part in creating a safe and comfortable environment for guests and associates. You will detect suspicious behavior, prevent vandalism, theft, or other unlawful activities, and ensure the protection of property and assets in a dynamic, creative setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety for guests and associates while protecting property and assets.
• Patrol premises on foot.
• Operate a dispatch center, handling key control, fire alarm monitoring, and closed-circuit television monitoring.
• Answer routine and emergency calls for service and dispatch assistance as needed.
• Perform proactive and professional security, safety, and loss prevention practices.
• Investigate situations and conditions and write reports as necessary.
• Meet, greet, and assist guests and associates in a professional and calm manner.
• Witness cash drops and monitor cameras.
• Perform lost and found functions.
• Assist in other areas as needed.

Requirements

• Primarily 1st Shift availability; occasional 2nd Shift availability required.
• Knowledge of security, law enforcement, and de-escalation practices preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management, staff, personnel, and the public.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must work well both independently and as part of a team, and under pressure.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid Driver’s License highly preferred.
