Security Officer (Full-Time)

About the role

A Security Officer contributes to AHF by protecting the company’s assets and ensuring the safety of its staff, tenants, contractors, guests, and visitors at AHF’s sites, including Healthy Housing (HHF) properties. The officer leverages security training to implement strategies that protect personnel, assets, and donation inventories at Healthy Housing tenant facilities. This role carries full responsibility for implementing policies and procedures that support AHF’s mission and core values, while maintaining a friendly, professional, and disciplined presence.

Responsibilities

• Protect company assets and ensure the safety of staff, tenants, contractors, guests, and visitors across all AHF sites.
• Implement security strategies and policies designed to safeguard personnel, assets, and donation inventories at Healthy Housing facilities.
• Enhance AHF’s reputation by performing duties in a friendly, professional, and disciplined manner.
• Recognize potentially dangerous situations and respond in the safest and most effective way.
• Advocate for AHF’s top initiatives and keep the organization’s Core Values and Mission top of mind.
• Collaborate with Healthy Housing operational staff to establish and maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Utilize the Safety and Security Incident Reporting System to submit detailed reports on events and situations that occur while on duty.
• Adapt to various situations with ease, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to add consistent value to AHF/HHF.

Requirements

• Active Security Guard Card.
