Security Officer - Full-Time

Security Officer Role Seeking a security officer to ensure the safety and security of hospital buildings and grounds through patrols, emergency response, and incident documentation. Responsibilities include conducting armed patrols (on foot and vehicle), controlling access, managing visitor flow, and responding to emergencies in collaboration with law enforcement. Additional duties involve investigating safety threats, managing property control, and providing protective escorts. Candidates must possess armed security credentials such as FOID, PERC, FCC, and firearms training (28+ hours), with the ability to maintain firearm proficiency. A valid driver’s license from Illinois, Wisconsin, or Indiana with a clean record is required, along with the physical capability to perform patrol duties in various weather conditions. A high school diploma or GED is necessary; hospital security experience is preferred, with IAHSS certification to be obtained within six months. Candidates should demonstrate sound judgment, discretion, and customer service skills.
