Security Officer - Full Time

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Fort Wayne, IN, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly with visitors and team members while responding to security-related concerns with integrity, reliability, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking areas, building entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or access concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with badge verification, visitor direction, and reporting access-related irregularities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and coordinate with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
- Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, documenting observations and escalating security-related concerns according to established procedures.
Requirements
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- CPR Certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
