Security Officer -Full Time

About the role

As an unarmed security professional at a dynamic manufacturing location in Columbus, IN, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for individuals and vehicles entering and exiting the location in accordance with site procedures.
• Document patrol findings, incidents, and unusual activity, and promptly report concerns to designated site and Allied Universal personnel.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Pay

$15.50 / hour

• Monday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Friday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Saturday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sunday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
