Security Officer - Full Time

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Operations in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control and badge procedures, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout offices, common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, employee, and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Maintain detailed and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
