Security Officer - Full Time

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and documenting visitor activity. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access and entry records.
• Control entry and exit at assigned doors, gates, and receiving areas in accordance with location procedures, helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated industrial areas, building perimeters, parking areas, and access points. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
