About the role

As a Security Officer - Full Time - Afternoons in Cedar Rapids, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, security-related policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a manufacturing and industrial location, verify credentials and authorization, and control access for personnel, visitors, deliveries, and contractors.
• Maintain accurate access-control logs, visitor records, and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized entry.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
