Security Officer Full Time Access Verification

About the role

As a Full Time Access Verification Security Officer in Brookwood, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. You will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors while supporting a welcoming, orderly environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Monitor and control access at entry points by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor requirements in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate access-related records, including visitor, contractor, and delivery logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
